SYNERGEYES

Synergeyes hybrid contact lenses are uniquely designed because they consist of a rigid gas permeable (RGP) center and a soft skirt. The RGP center provides high quality vision and the soft skirt provides all day long comfort. Synergeyes offers a wide variety of lenses that can meet virtually any visual need.
We are proud to offer Synergeyes' newest lens, Duette. The Duette lens is a premium lens with a state-of-the-art design and is made of highly "breathable" materials. This lens is ideal for patients who are nearsighted or farsighted, patients with or without astigmatism, patients who desire more consistent, comfortable vision throughout the day, and patients who have previously given up on soft or RGP contact lens wear.
CRT

Corneal Refractive Therapy (CRT) is a non-surgical, temporary process that involves wearing a rigid gas permeable lens overnight in order to safely reshape the cornea. The end result is clear vision throughout the day without the need for glasses or contact lenses. CRT works best for patients with low to moderate nearsightedness and low to moderate astigmatism.
CRT is great for active patients who are involved in sports, patientswho experience troublesome contact lens wear, or patients seeking a safe alternative to refractive surgery.
SCLERAL LENSES
Scleral lenses have recently reemerged onto the contact lens market and are becoming a popular specialty lens design. Scleral lenses are large diameter rigid gas permeable lenses that can be beneficial to virtually any patient, including patients with corneal disease, dry eye syndrome, or post-surgical corneas. The lenses are designed to rest on the sclera (white part of the eye) and completely vault the cornea, masking any irregularities. Because the sclera has considerably fewer nerve endings than the cornea, scleral lenses are more comfortable than traditional rigid gas permeable lenses.
KERATOCONUS
Keratoconus is a condition that causes progressive corneal thinningand steepening. Because the cornea becomes more conical in shape than spherical in shape, most patients with this condition often require specially designed contact lenses. There are several different types of lenses that can be used for keratoconus including soft lenses, rigid gas permeable lenses and hybrid lenses. A lens design is typically chosen based on the severity of the patient's case.
BIFOCAL/MULTIFOCAL CONTACT LENSES

Patients who are over 40 typically find it difficult to focus at near and intermediate distances.Multifocal contact lenses are a great option for patients who are first time contact lens wearers, current contact lens wearers desiring improved near vision, or for patients who currently wear bifocal or reading glasses.
The goal of multifocal contact lensesis to provide good vision at all distances along with freedom from glasses.
There are several multifocal contact lens options including soft lenses, rigid gas permeable lenses and hybrid lenses. All of these lens options can be worn on a daily basis or just on weekends or special occasions.
CONTACTS AND CHILDREN
Contact lenses can be a great option for the vision needs of all age groups! We generally begin recommending contact lenses for children around 10 years old, but we will certainly fit motivated patients under this age. If you are a parent considering contact lenses for your child, consider the following as a good rule of thumb on whether or not he/she is ready: If your child is brushing his/her teeth each day without a reminder, then he/she is likely to be responsible enough for the proper wear and care of contact lenses.
CONTACTS FOR ATHLETES
Contact lenses benefit the athlete by improving their field of vision, depth perception, and overall quality of vision. Certain contact designs contain a UV coating to protect the outdoor athlete. Disposable contacts are also great for the athlete wanting to throw the lenses away after the game. Whether you are a professional athlete or just recreational, there are many types of contacts to choose from to enhance your performance and comfort.
